Are you looking for a spacious family home in a village with a renowned school catchment, easy commuting via the M1 or A38, and easily accessed beautiful countryside?

This detached 4-bedroomed family home in Swanwick offers plenty of space and with potential to extend, making a great area amazing…

At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, find the driveway flanked by lawns leading to a double garage with an electric door. Two cars can comfortably park on the driveway.

From the entrance hall, doors lead to all downstairs rooms. The large lounge is off to the left and runs from the front to the back of the house. A bay window to the front and French doors to the rear makes it a lovely light room. Other than a feature fireplace with a cast iron gas fire, the feature-free walls make furniture arrangement versatile.

From the front door, turn right for the cloakroom and right again to the study. The door next to the cloakroom takes you to the kitchen. This wonderful open-plan area was designed by the current owners to create a sociable environment. A utility area is tucked neatly behind the door along the short wall with plumbing for a washing machine, dishwasher, and room for a fridge freezer. The kitchen is directly opposite, overlooking the rear garden. A range of beautiful natural light wood cupboards and drawers, topped with contrasting dark worktops is arranged in a U-shape designed for easy movement for meal preparation. There is an integrated oven and gas hob. The long length to the left creates a natural break from the dining area without interrupting the flow of chatter with family and friends. To the left is the dining room and this is where there is potential for extending (subject to planning permission) and making what is already a marvellous area even larger.

From the hall take the stairs to the first floor, where all doors to bedrooms and bathrooms lead off the landing. The master bedroom is immediately on the right and is a generous room with a window to the front of the property. Whilst there is plenty of room for furniture, the dressing room to the rear could accommodate wardrobes and drawers. A nicely proportioned ensuite leads off the dressing area has a corner walk-in shower, WC, and washbasin. The family bathroom next door has a bath, WC, and washbasin. Bedroom 2 at the rear is a nice sized double with fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom with its window to the front is another comfortable double room, and the fourth bedroom is a large single room.

The rear garden is large, private and is grassed and lined with shrubs. A patio sits along the width of the house. Even with a new extension, the garden would remain a good size, could be landscaped with beds and borders, and have a lawn large enough for children’s games and socialising.

In summary, a spacious, well-designed house for a family with the potential to increase its footprint, yet maintain a decent sized garden, set in a village with good amenities and handy for the work commute.
